Praise For (and from) BSHM Summer 2018 Interns

Although our summer interns are back on campus and on to their next endeavor, we’re excited to receive feedback about their experience with BSHM.

Robert Toot, an architecture student at Bowling Green State University, has been a summer intern (and part of the BSHM family) the past two years. See what he had to say about his time at our Youngstown office below.

Working at BSHM Architects was essential to my architectural education. I was treated as an important component to the team and given significant tasks to undertake. I felt as if I were working not as an intern, but as a full-time architect. As as architecture student, it was pivotal to realize the collaboration that construction requires and being part of that conversation has given me direction for my career path. BSHM was receptive of my intentions and what I wanted to learn more about and arranged work that aligned with my interests.  What really sets BSHM apart is their intensive use of BIM technology. Today’s representation of architecture is restlessly dynamic and BSHM maintains pace with the zeitgeist. The education I received and the relationships that were fostered are distinctive to BSHM and could not have been replicated elsewhere.

Michael Randza, an architecture student at Kent State University, will be joining us again, but after his first summer at BSHM, he had the following to say:

Gaining experience at BSHM was an incredible experience and a valuable opportunity. I learned skills in communication and practical applications. Everyone in the office was always more than willing to help with any problem I didn’t know how to solve. BSHM provides a comfortable working environment, and an atmosphere of learning and growing in architecture.
