Gillian takes on Chicago for NeoCon 2023

Last week, our interior designer, Gillian, traveled to Chicago with nearly 50,000 other designers to participate in the largest industry event of the year, NeoCon. Since 1969, this annual conference showcases products and services from major companies in the A&D industry. Gillian was able to clock in nearly 10 miles per day (in one building alone!) networking with major industry manufacturers on behalf of BSHM, seeing new products and innovations ahead of market launch.

Additionally, Gillian had the privilege of attending thought-provoking lectures and panel discussions led by visionaries in the industry. Covered topics included sustainable design strategies, designing buildings that are healthy for the planet and its inhabitants; the impact new buildings have on communities (new jobs, services and opportunities); the importance of diversity in the workplace, as fostering a safe and inclusive environment can help drive innovation; well-crafted environments influence on society, and can make a powerful statement.
