Youngstown East High School
Youngstown City School District
Youngstown, Ohio

East High School was the first new high school to be built in Youngstown in over 45 years.
Size: 218,00 sf
Project Scope: New Construction
Delivery Method: Multiple Prime
Partner: Moody Nolan
Designed to be the flagship of the Youngstown School District’s OFCC Program, the School Board asked the architects to provide a building design that brings Youngstown into the 21st century.
The building was built on a redeveloped urban site, with the academic classroom sections cascading down a partial slope. The roofscape is an interpretation of the topography of the site. Moody Nolan provided Concept Consulting.
The building features two large gymnasiums, a day-lit media center, a strategically placed student dining commons and an LFI auditorium.
