Project Description

Part of a master plan for a total residential community of 600 students at Youngstown State University, Christman Dining Commons is designed to accommodate seating for 300 diners. The kitchen and servery have the capacity to serve 600 students at each meal. The servery is based on a scatter system with 15 food stations ranging from a la cart deli items and traditional hot entrees to vegan items and other specialties. The dining room has a gabled center section with low ceilinged side areas. The design motif is taken from Lyden House.
