Project Description

The River K-12 Combination School was a unique project that includes both a 42,000 SF addition and renovations that redeveloped the existing 75,000 square foot River High School into a K-12 Combination School. The majority of work performed on the existing building included a complete replacement or refurbishment of all finishes, new electrical and lighting systems, sprinklers, plumbing and fixtures, and a new HVAC system. Additionally, reprogramming transformed the existing cafeteria into a new media center and the existing media center into a new central administration office. The 42,000 square feet addition attached to the existing high school provides a new two story classroom wing, student dining and kitchen, media center, music room and administration area for Grades K-8.  The building is LEED Silver Certified.
