Project Description

This 40,000 square foot design-build project is an infill between two existing structures on West Federal Street in downtown Youngstown. The original Youngstown Business Incubator is located in a historic building to the west. Through a competitive process, the contract was awarded based on the design, use of appropriate material and cost. The project design was selected for its judicious use of contemporary materials and high ratio of glazed to solid areas on the facade. The spaces house start-up companies and firms which have outgrown their quarters in the adjacent Business Incubator. The program funded through the Youngstown Community Improvement Corp. is associated with the Williamson College of Business at Youngstown State University.
