Ravenna High SchoolRavenna, Ohio

Project Description

As the first new school building constructed for Ravenna in several decades, the new high school designed by BSHM is an OSFC Exceptional Needs project. The building contains 151,000 square feet, which includes a locally funded auditorium with 600 fixed and 300 seats on a retractable platform. The plan also contains a 13,000 square foot LFI “Fieldhouse”.

The single-story building is sited adjacent to an existing sports complex. It is divided into four specific functional areas: Academics, Administration/Services, Performing Arts/Dining Commons and Physical Education.

The heating and cooling plant will be a ground source heat pump system (geo-thermal).

The High School opened in September of 2009.
