Warren Community AmphitheatreWarren, Ohio

Project Description

The Warren Community Amphitheatre is an open air venue for an audience of approximately 2500 people. Built on the banks of the Mahoning River, and on the site of a recognized historic home, the amphitheatre was designed to be sensitive to its historic surroundings. The opening provides a view to the river, and can be closed off with a curtain for theatrical performances that would require a back stage. The materials and style of the architectural elements were selected to be compatible with the historic nature of the site, and the convex masonry walls and angled roof structure were designed to provide an acoustically correct stage for the performers. The stage house also has a complete sound and lighting system, as well as dressing room, prop storage, and support areas.
